This was Rockdale County's first annual Local Children's Author Expo. I had a great time meeting fellow authors and artists. But I REALLY enjoyed the balloon lady! Sometimes i'm still a big kid at heart. Thank you to Shannon Peterman of the library's Youth Services Deparmentfor inviting me to paricipate.

Had great time over the weekend at the National Book Club Conference. This annual event is a haven for writers, publishers, and bookworms. It was brimming with talent and knowledge. I was a sponge soaking it all in.

I showed up wearing my Nundi butterfly wings. They were a great conversation piece.

Baby girl is holding on for dear life! It's a family affair.

A great keynote speech by Walter Mosley. A couple of gems from his speech: "Reading is a revolutionary act." "People ask me, 'How do I get my child to read?' And I ask them, ‘Do YOU read?'"

Last minute selfies and chit chat before the Publishing Industry Panel Discussion begins. Panelists include Laini Brown, Kevin Shird, Valerie Wilson-Wesley and Eric Jerome Dickey.

She saw Nundi and had to buy the book because, "She looks just like my daughter." <3
